La Pêche à La Tzoumazau lac des Vaux et le long de la Fare

Fishing in La Tzoumaz

Au lac des Vaux et le long de la Fare

Lac des Vaux is a small, crystal-clear natural lake at 2543 m above La Tzoumaz and Verbier.

It is home to rainbow trout and cristivomers. A variety of fishing techniques are available, including fly fishing (preferably in the morning before the wind picks up), grasshopper and natural bait fishing, spoon fishing and swimming fish.

It’s best to leave your car at the Col de la Croix de Coeur (5km walk, ~450m ascent) in 1h30. It can also be reached from La Tzoumaz, but the climb is more difficult (5.5km walk, 950m ascent) in 3h00.

It’s also possible to fish along the Rivière de la Fare.

Mountain fishing opens in early June.

Fishing permits are on sale at the La Tzoumaz tourist office:

Day: CHF 30.00

2 consecutive days: CHF 50.00
